LLOYD GROUP OF INSTITUTIONS organised its Annual Cultural Fest, “LLOYD CARNIVAL-2019” on 29th March, 2019. It was a day long event held in the Institute's campus. The Carnival was declared open by the Group Chairman, Sh. Manohar Thairani, who welcomed teams from different colleges and stressed upon the importance of such activities for the holistic development of the students.
The Carnival saw a wide range of activities like Ad-Mad show, rangoli, T-Shirt painting, mimicry, PUBG War, poster making, solo singing, mehndi, fashion show, solo dancing and group dancing.
Welcome speech was delivered by CA Manohar Thairani, President, Lloyd Group of Institutions. In his speech he gave much importance to the need for arranging such a programme. He encouraged the students for their laudable performances. He also expressed that it is his dream to see events like this take place more often, at the campus.
About 1050 students from 42 universities, B-colleges and technical institutes of Delhi-NCR gathered on the Lloyd Campus to exhibit their talent and skills in various art forms.

Lloyd also invited and felicitated leading faculty members from different institutes like Rameesh, JIMS, Mangalmay, Father Agnel School, Sharda Universityto judge and ensure fairness in the selection of the winners
The event had a soul to it - vibrant, contagiously colorful and exuberant with mesmerising music, finger-licking-good street food and much more!
The carnival began with off stage events, which included poster making, rangoli, T-shirt painting, PUBG-war and off course our traditional, mehendi. The carnival progressed towards on-stage events amongst the hustle-bustle of the cheerful crowd and the events lined-upstarting with the Ad-mad show, solo dance, group dance, solo singing and ended with the show stopper event - the fashion show!
This full of energy and dazzle event concluded with a quick award ceremony for all the winners of the day. The top ranking students of previous session were also awarded the annual scholarship cheques.
In the academic awards, Mittal Kumari, Akansha, Sanya Bhateja and Christina Joseph of Pharmacy received cheques of Rs. 10,000/- each for securing 1st position in the classes.
Km. Timple, Priyanka Dua, Nilay Nandi and Poonam received Rs. 5,000/- cheques for securing 2nd position.
Ritik Raj, Priyanka Gola, Saakshi and Naveda were 3rd in their classes, and received Rs. 3,000/- each as reward.
In the cultural events, Team from St. Thomas College won the 1st position in the Ad-Mad show, while the team from Lloyd was the runner up.
Neha Anwar & Neha of Lloyd won the Rangoli competition, while Sanam Tomer & Neha Sharma of Lloyd and Saipnali Payal & Deepali of JS(PG) College were joint runners up.
Aman Tiwari of GL Bajaj won the intensely fought PUBG war, while Ashish Pandey of Lloyd was the 1st runner up and Himanshu Singh, also of Lloyd, was the 2nd runner up.
In the poster making competition, Shubhangi & Garima of Lloyd Law College were the winners. Monika Hans & Savita of JS(PG) College were the 1st runners up while Charu and Aman Bhati of Lloyd Pharmacy were the 2nd runners up.
Longhua Wangpan of Lloyd Business School won the T- Shirt painting competition. Alok of Lloyd came 2nd while Bharti from JS(PG) College came 3rd.
Mehndi competition was won by Alka Sharma of Lloyd, Poonam from Lloyd and Anupriya from GL Bajaj bagged 2nd and 3rd positions respectively.
The Solo dancing winner was Mohini of JS(PG) College. Anjali Tomar and Smriti Sharan of Lloyd were joint 2nd winners while Ashish of Lloyd won the 3rd position.
The singing competition was won by Leeza of Lloyd while Amartya and Prashant from GNIOT came 2nd and Smriti Sharan of Lloyd Law College came 3rd.
In the Fashion Show, Madhur of Lloyd Business School was adjudged the Mr. Carnival while Shruti was crowned as the Ms. Carnival. Shweta Bhardwaj of Pharmacy was chosed for the Best Attire Award and Poonam from International Polytechnic for Women was judged to have the Best Smile
In the hugely popular Group Dance event, Ritu Rawat and Group of Aryabhatta College, University of Delhi bagged the first position, while Hypnotics Group from Indira Gandhi Delhi Technical University came 2nd and Leeza Messey and Group of Lloyd came 3rd.
The prizes and scholarship cheques were presented by the Group Director, Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Arora, who congratulated all the winners and applauded the healthy competitive spirit of all the participants. The carnival folded-up with a perfectly smooth event with no security or management issues, under Lloyd’s amazing event-management-team.
