AICTE Sponsored Two Weeks Online Faculty Development Program (FDP)

Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology (Pharm.) successfully completed its AICTE Sponsored Two Weeks Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on “Exploration of Nascent Pedagogical Tools for Updating Teachers of Pharmacy Education.” It was conducted under the guidance of Patron: Shri. Manohar Thairani, President, Lloyd Group of Institutions; Convenor & Coordinator: Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director, Lloyd Group of Institutions, & Co-ordinators: Dr. Lalit K. Tyagi, Professor & Dr. Chitra Gupta, Professor, Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology (Pharm.). It was scheduled for two weeks starting from December 7, 2020, to December 19, 2020, from 1:00-4:00 pm India onwards (every day).

Lloyd was overwhelmed by receiving 336 registrations out of which 110 were selected from more than 58 colleges across 12 different states. Institutes taking part like Guru Jambheshwar University, Haryana; Uttaranchal University, Dehradun; Gokaraju Rangaraju Institute of Engineering & Technology, Hyderabad; Nirmala College, Kerala; Shree Anand College, Maharashtra; B. N. College of Engineering and Technology, Lucknow; Geetanjali Institute, Udaipur, B. R. Nahata College of Pharmacy, Madhya Pradesh; Sagar Institute of Research & Technology(SIRT), Bhopal; MM College of Pharmacy (MMU), Haryana; Motilal Nehru College Govt. College, New Delhi; GLA University, K. I. E. T., K. N. Modi, H. I. M. T., I. I. M. T., Galgotias University, and many more. It is scheduled for two weeks starting from December 7, 2020, to December 19, 2020, from 1:00-4:00 pm India onwards (every day).

Dr. Vandana Arora inaugurated the session with a warm welcome note and appreciated the indulgence of our delegates, colleagues, and participants across the country. Later, the day commenced with the first session as “From 'A Sage on the Stage' to 'A Guide on the Screen': Basics of Online Blended Learning”_ Prof. Chandragouda R. Patil, Professor, Dept. of Pharmacology, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi. This was followed by session 2: “Defining Education Objectives and Learning Outcomes”_ Prof. Kamla Pathak, Dean & Professor, Pharmacy College, Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, Etawah.

The Guests of Honour for the Inauguration session of the FDP were Prof. Ramesh K. Goyal, Hon’ble Vice, Chancellor, Delhi Pharmaceutical Sciences and Research University (DPSRU), New Delhi & Col. B. Venkat, Director, Faculty Development Cell (FDC), AICTE, New Delhi.

Each day had 2-3 sessions with the eminent speakers. The first week sessions included Prof. Chandragouda R. The Guests of Honour for the Valedictory session of the FDP were Shri Ajay Kumar Kaushal, Former Drug Controller, Drugs Control Department, Govt. of NCT, Delhi and Shri Atul Kumar Nasa, Head of Office, Controlling and Licensing Authority, Dy. Drug Controller, Drugs Control Department, Govt. of NCT, Delhi. Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director, Lloyd Group of Institutions ended the valedictory session with her warm enlightening end-note.

Altogether, it was an extensive, eye-opening, and interesting session that will certainly help out faculties, research scholars, and academicians.
