Introduction to College Life, Becoming Familiar with the New Environment !!

Lloyd Institute of Management & Technology (Pharm.) organized Orientation & Induction Program for the new students of D. Pharm. & B. Pharm. programs from 29th July’19 to 1st August’19. The objective of the Orientation program is to develop a gradual and confident understanding of the Pharmacy profession, its academic requirements and related skills.

After registration, the students were given kits with a book on career opportunities in Pharmacy Practice and a Handbook comprising Lloyd’s academic calendar, norms and syllabus. This was followed by a campus-tour, where the students visited classrooms, laboratories, library, computer centre, placements office etc. Day 1 of the orientation Program ended with an interactive session with the respective subject teachers who explained the subjects the students shall be studying in their respective courses.

On 30th July, the students were taken to the Zumba dance sessions to instill a passion in them for maintaining fitness. The formal ceremony started with a Lamp-lightening ceremony by the students, their parents, Lloyd’s President- Mr. Manohar Thairani and Group Director- Dr. Vandana Arora. Dr Vandana Arora in her address inducted the students with Lloyd’s Vision, Mission and Core Values.

The Career Guidance & Training and Placement Cell gave a presentation on the placements records and the processes involved. In the post lunch session, Ms. Jyoti Saran (Manager-HR) from KNOLL Healthcare Pvt. Ltd. Interacted with the students to them understand an employer’s perspective and expectations. This session was highly appreciated by the students

After this some very senior and well placed alumi of Lloyd, Mr.Bhanu Pratap (Area manager- Eli Lilly, Batch 2008-2012) , Mr. Amit Kumar Yadav (Area Manager, J B Chemicals, Batch 2008-2012) & Mr. Pawan Kumar Yadav (Area Manager, Lupin, Batch 2008-2012), held an interactive session for the new students. The new students showed maximum interest in this session and received an insight of the profession they are enetering.

The last session of the day included a set of games for team bonding & for the students to break out of their shells & make friends.

The Program was continued for 2 more days with sessions from various academic and industry experts addressing and interacting with the students.
