REPORT ON “WEBDEC 2020”

Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology (Pharm) organized Webdec 2020 (An online Declamation Contest) on 16 may 2020, under the guidance of Dr. Vandana Arora Sethi, Group Director, Lloyd group of Institutions.

The flyer was shared for the registration of the candidates wherein the details of the event and the topics namely “Covid 19 Outbreak, “The role of Pharmaceutical Industries in Covid 19” and “Adoption and changes in the lifestyle” were announced.

180 entries were received from participants from various Institutes across the nation including DIPSAR, KIET, Sunderdeep group of Institutions, IFTM, Sharad Chandra Pawar college of pharmacy, Orlean College of pharmacy. Preliminary round was conducted wherein the participants were divided into groups and they expressed their views on the selected topics. The participants were judged on the basis of the relevant content, speech and expression.16 participants were shortlisted for the final round held on 16 May 2020. All the participants delivered their contents with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Naman Mudgal from B. Pharmacy, Lloyd bagged first position followed by Varnika Sharma from KIET at second position. Jessica Chalana from Lloyd got third position. The judges’ panel included Dr. Bhupender Kr. Soam, Director & Prof. from the Lloyd Business School Dr. Shruti Traymbak Associate Professor Lloyd Business School Mr. Quaisul Hoda Assistant Professor Lloyd Institute of Management and Technology (Pharm.) who gave their unbiased opinions. Dr.Soam also shared his views after the declamation and also appreciated the participants.
